Description
August 2024 is inside most American’s head even if they don’t verbalize it. With fiction, as was said, we can imagine the unthinkable, and face the consequences of the current state of affairs. Much like Stephen King’s early novel of post apocalypse, The Stand, and the Mad Max film series, but now with more immediate reality, it scares the hell out of anyone tuned into today’s insane rush to the extremes of political warfare. But with an average family and reasonable assumptions of a near-future. Almost everyone in the country (ours) deserves a wakeup slap in the face. August 2024 will give it.

Reader Comments:
“It pulled me right in and I thought it was fascinating if also terrifying, but most certainly thought provoking….definitely enjoyed the style of writing…also much appreciated the little pearls of wisdom sprinkled here and there!”
“Wow! All I can say is I want more! I think this could/should be made into a movie. It is a story of survival, of courage, of what greed and lust does to a nation, of what uncontrolled lawlessness does to human nature. I want more! I visualized each state, each scene as if it was happening right in front of me. And I think it would be a blockbuster!”
“Thank you for letting me preview this great work! You are very gifted and talented!!!”
Praise for the works of John M. del Vecchio:
